Background

Before launching Deviation, Colin founded Two Sigma Ventures in 2012, where he invested in companies leveraging data and advanced software across manufacturing, industrials, robotics, insurance tech, and consumer products. Prior to that, he spent seven years at Two Sigma, where he helped shape the firm's business strategy. Earlier in his career he worked as a technology investment banker and corporate strategist, and first came to New York for a summer stint at Doubleclick. Born in Ireland and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Colin's love of startups traces back to summer internships at companies like Andromedia during the late '90s dot-com bubble. He holds a dual BA in Economics and Law, Jurisprudence, and Social Thought from Amherst College and lives with his wife and three kids in Brooklyn.
