Background

Elianna is an investor at Deviation Capital where she focuses on AI-native biotech and computational biology companies. She also holds an M.D. from Yale School of Medicine, where she continues her research at the intersection of artificial intelligence, protein engineering, and functional genomics, developing reinforcement learning frameworks for protein optimization with a focus on Cas12a genome-editing systems. Before joining Deviation, she was an investor at Two Sigma Ventures and, prior to that, worked as a data scientist and programmer building large-scale data infrastructure for blockchain and genomics companies. In addition to her M.D., she holds a B.S. in Mathematical and Computational Science and an M.S. in Statistics from Stanford University.
