Matthieu Schulz

Matthieu joins Deviation with a deep appreciation for what it takes to build, first as a founder and then shaping product at Windsurf and Cognition. He was the third product hire at Windsurf, joining early and helping drive the product through its period of explosive growth and subsequent acquisition by Cognition. Before Windsurf, he founded and exited Orsay, an AI sales agent. Matthieu also backed early-stage companies across AI and agent infrastructure as a scout for Andreessen Horowitz's AI Infrastructure fund. He holds a BSc in Computer Science from University College London and an MS in Data Science from Columbia University. Outside of work, he produces electronic music and is always on the lookout for the latest plugins.
