Riz Thakir

Riz oversees all ongoing fund operations, including valuations, accounting, and tax, and laid the groundwork for the firm’s foundational financial and operational infrastructure. Prior to Deviation, Riz spent over a decade at Two Sigma Ventures where he held several key finance roles and spearheaded technology initiatives that significantly enhanced the firm's illiquid investment capabilities. He began his career at Ernst & Young, LLP in the Financial Services Division, where he provided assurance and business advisory services for hedge funds and private equity funds. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the State of New York. Riz earned a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Financial Analysis & Accounting from the University at Albany.
